2012-13 Call for Proposals:
SOLAR ENERGY and ENERGY STORAGE
We are pleased to announce our 4th annual call for pre-proposals from scientists conducting early-stage alternative energy research at participating Israeli universities. This year, scientists working in the fields of SOLAR ENERGY and ENERGY STORAGE are invited to apply for I-SAEF funding. The deadline for submitting pre-proposals is December 16, 2012. Pre-proposals will be evaluated by I-SAEF's world-class Advisory Board. In January, semi-finalists will be invited to submit full proposals, to be reviewed by an international team of scientists, all experts in their respective fields. Winners of this second round will receive grants of up to $200,000. Each award will be disbursed over a period of 2-3 years, depending on individual project needs and timelines.
I-SAEF will select projects that advance the scientific state-of-the-art and have significant commercial potential. Grants will be awarded to projects that demonstrate a high likelihood of yielding technologies that can progress to commercialization. We recommend that you consult with your university's technology transfer office to see if your research qualifies.
